A
Consortium of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd and Toshiba Plant Systems &
Service Corp has won a tender to build a US$ 430 million power generating
project in Indonesia.
The consortium will increase the capacity of the Muara Karang Power Plant in
response to concern over power shortage.
The objective of the project is to improve the tight power situation in the
Java-Bali power system and contribute to reducing emissions of air pollutants. The
project consists of converting a diesel oil-fired power plant in the existing
Muara Karang power complex near Jakarta
into a gas-fired combined cycle power plant and thereby increasing power
capacity from 300 MW to 720 MW.
PT Putera, indonesian partner of Environnement S.A concludes agreement for the supply of 2 CEMs (dilution-based systems for the measurement of SO2, NOx and CO) Muara Karang power plant.
